Connection through shared interests. Whether it's gaming, D&D, Lego, Arts & Crafts, Music or whatever comes next - this is where friendships form and passions thrive.

We create spaces around gaming, D&D, Lego, karaoke, and crafting. When interests are the entry point, connection happens naturally - no forced icebreakers required.

We create safe spaces where neurodivergent and neurotypical young people engage together. No masking required, no social scripts—just genuine acceptance of however you show up.

We design programs where solo engagement and group participation are both valued. You choose how you show up, and we support whatever that looks like.
We get it - finding spaces where you or your young person actually wants to show up can be challenging. Most young people know what they're interested in. The real challenge is finding a place built around those interests—not around what they 'should' be doing. That's what we've created here.

Young people show up because the activity itself is worth it—whether that's mastering a game, building something epic, or just having a place to be. Growth happens naturally when engagement is genuine.

Our programs work because we've designed them with flexibility in mind. Clear structure when needed, room to explore when wanted, and staff who get that different young people need different things.

This isn't drop-and-go childcare. It's a place where your young person builds competence, discovers what they're good at, and finds reasons to keep showing up. Some want friends, some don't—both are completely valid here.

We started as ESports Collective and evolved because families showed us what was needed. Now, through three connected businesses, we offer gaming, creative programs, and specialized support—all under one roof, all focused on helping young people engage, grow, and thrive on their terms.

What started as a gaming venue has grown into something bigger. Three distinct businesses now operate within The Social Space, each bringing unique value while sharing a common commitment to interest-led engagement and genuine inclusion.

The heart of our community. Engagement happens here through interest-based programs - gaming, karaoke, D&D, Lego, crafting, and whatever comes next. This is where young people find their reason to show up, build skills, and discover what they're capable of. We also welcome values-aligned businesses to join our mission and expand what's possible.

The original vision that started it all. Structured gaming programs with Peer Support to give young people consistent opportunities to level up their skills and engage with what they love. Weekly group sessions, drop-in gaming (3-6pm daily), tournaments, birthday parties, and community events. Gaming as the motivation, growth as the outcome.

Support that meets people where they are. Daily living assistance and community access to help people participate in programs and build independence through what they actually want to do. Allied health services delivered at The Social Space and throughout the community. Capacity-building through real engagement—participants can transition from supported to independent participation as they're ready.
Got questions? We've got answers.
We know finding the right fit for your young person can feel overwhelming—especially when traditional options haven't clicked. Whether you're wondering about our gaming programs, NDIS support, or just how everything works together, we're here to help.
Below you'll find answers to the questions families ask most. Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out—we're happy to chat about how we might be able to help.
The Social Space is a community hub where young people connect through shared interests like gaming, D&D, Lego, crafting, karaoke, and more. We're home to three businesses working together: The Social Space (interest-based programs), ESports Collective (structured gaming programs), and Gippsland Care Collective (NDIS support services).
We're not behind closed doors. NDIS participants can start with supports, but the goal is building capacity so they can attend independently when they're ready. Support happens within real community programs alongside other young people—not isolated sessions. Your young person is gaming in a tournament, building with Lego, or running a D&D campaign with their mates while our support workers help them build the skills they need. As confidence grows, they transition from supported participation to showing up on their own terms. It's about creating pathways to genuine independence and community belonging, not ongoing dependency on support services.
Absolutely. Bring whatever supports work for you - we love working with external providers. There's a small out-of-pocket fee to cover venue costs, which varies by activity.
Our programs primarily serve young people from primary school age through to young adults. Different programs suit different age ranges—contact us to find the best fit for your young person.
Tell us about it! We're absolutely open to creating new programs around emerging interests. If there's enough interest from young people, we'll make it happen. We started with gaming and evolved into D&D, Lego, crafting, and more based on what our community wanted. Your young person's passion could be our next program—whether that's robotics, anime club, miniature painting, or something we haven't even thought of yet.
No! While Gippsland Care Collective offers NDIS-funded support for those who need it, all our Social Space and ESports Collective programs are open to everyone regardless of NDIS status.
We create spaces where no masking is required. Our programs are designed with clear structure when needed and flexibility when wanted. Young people can engage on their own terms—whether that's solo participation or group collaboration.
No. Our programs focus on real skill development, competence building, and helping young people discover what they're capable of. The interest is the motivation, growth is the outcome.
Absolutely. We design our programs so both solo engagement and group participation are valued. Your young person chooses how they show up, and we support that.
No. Everyone participates together in our programs. Some young people access NDIS support, some don't—but everyone belongs here on their own terms.
Perfect—that's exactly what we're here for. Young people can try different programs and shift their participation as their interests evolve. Flexibility is built into everything we do.
Yes. Neurodivergent, neurotypical, NDIS-funded, self-funded—everyone's welcome here. We don't separate people based on diagnosis or support needs. Some young people access NDIS services, some don't, but everyone participates together in the same programs. The only requirement is respecting others and the space.
Yes! For NDIS participants, we can provide transport to and from our programs where it's included in their plan. This removes barriers and makes it easier for young people to access the support and programs they need. Contact us to discuss transport options for your young person.
We help young people build skills and confidence through what they actually care about. Through gaming, creativity, and interest-led programs, we provide a place to belong—on your terms.
